133 Officers have Passed out on 24TH January,2014

EVENT

          In a grand & colourful Passing Out Parade at CRPF Academy Gurgaon, 133 CRPF Officers including 06 Mahila Officers of the 44th (A) batch passed out on 24th January 2014. Sh Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Haryana took the salute at the parade as the Chief Guest. The awards of excellence were given to the outstanding trainee officers in different Trg. Events.

ADAPTIBILITY OF FORCE

          Over the years, the CRPF has grown to become the largest Central Armed Police Force in the world. The Force is a highly adaptable organization and is able to handle multifarious duties of extremely divergent nature very successfully. Under the dynamic leadership of the Director General CRPF, Shri Dilip Trivedi, IPS the force has taken on the challenge of meeting the advancing tide of the Maoist menace and has speedily reoriented the mindset and skillsets required to combat the Maoists’ planned violence. This very adaptability is the core strength of the CRPF that makes serving in the force an extremely satisfying experience for all.           

CRPF ACADEMY HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

            The CRPF Academy at Gurgaon was established on 23rd March 2002 by the then Union Home Minister Shri L. K. Advani. The CRPF Academy imparts training to the Directly Appointed  Gazetted Officers (DAGOs)  of the CRPF and also to  Departmental Entry Gazetted Officers (DEGO’s) selected after a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination ( LDCE). It also conducts the Combatisation course of newly appointed Medical Officers of the Force. Before the establishment of this Academy, the training of officers of the CRPF was conducted at the Central Police Training College Mt Abu along with the IPS Probationers from 1961 to 1965, then at the Central Training College –I CRPF , Neemuch (MP)  from 1966 till 1975 and at the  Internal Security Academy CRPF, Mount Abu (Rajasthan) from 1975 to 2005 .

2.         The Academy has so far trained 1059 DAGOs, 135 DEGOs and 37 MOs since October 2005 including the officers of batch passed out today.

3.         These officers were put to 53 weeks of rigorous training, in indoor and outdoor subjects with thrust on Law, C.I. Operations, Tactics, Jungle Survival, Police-Public Relations, Human Rights, and developing shooting skills under combat conditions.

PROFILE OF THE OFFICERS PASSED OUT

            The officers of this batch come from 20 States and Union Territories of India in keeping with the All India character of the CRPF. The multiple cultures, languages, regions, religions, beliefs and practices they came with have gradually and imperceptibly been merged into one national and patriotic feeling of serving the mother India. These officers have been posted to various CRPF units where they will begin the transition of translating all they have learned into practical application in the real world.

            After objectively comparing various espects of training following officers have outstandingly graded & in the recognition of their hardfought endeavour they are suitable awaded. Out of total 18 awards 08 Trophies were given in Directors parade on 20th January & rest of the 10 trophies given in POP on 24th January.
